Since October 2026 every server of the Indonesian DMR Network runs on a new system: dmrid_link as the DMR server, dmrid_bridge for the apps, and a virtual AMBE-3003 vocoder. For members this means: hotspot login with your dmrid.online account, static talkgroups you set yourself from the portal, and traffic from every region shown on two dashboards.
This page explains what changed, the network features, the DMRID apps and the member portal, plus step-by-step guides for hotspots, the dashboard, the apps and video.
What's New
Every regional server now runs the same three components and connects to two central servers (hubs). Each hub has its own dashboard.
| Component | What it does |
|---|---|
| dmrid_link | The DMR server that replaces HBlink3. It accepts hotspots (MMDVM, Pi-Star, WPSD, DroidStar), BrandMeister and TGIF, and links all regional servers together. |
| dmrid_bridge | The entry point for the DMRID apps (Android, Windows, Gateway). App audio travels as Opus, which saves mobile data. |
| Virtual AMBE-3003 vocoder | Converts app audio to DMR audio and back, right on the server, with no physical dongle. |
| Dashboard | Covers |
|---|---|
| Indonesian DMR Network (in Indonesian) | The DMRID net (K2PI Nasional, SIDGAB), RAPI and local amateur talkgroups |
| Global Amateur (in English) | BrandMeister, TGIF, Worldwide, JOTA, Area-0 to Area-9 |
Each dashboard has a button that switches to the other one, so you only need to open one of them.
App audio is converted to DMR by the vocoder on the regional server; dmrid_link then carries it to the hubs, BrandMeister and TGIF according to its network.
Features and Benefits
| Feature | What it means for members |
|---|---|
| Hotspot login with your dmrid.online account | Hotspots log in with your own account password. The hotspot callsign must match the account, so identities on the network can be trusted. |
| Talkgroups per hotspot | Each hotspot only receives the TGs it chose. No more traffic from every TG flooding your hotspot. |
| Every listed TG through your hotspot | Hotspots use no vocoder, so they are not limited by the number of app channels. Every TG in the Talkgroup List of its network can be used through Hotspot Saya (My Hotspot). |
| Static TGs from the portal (My Hotspot) | Set static TS1/TS2 TGs from dmrid.online, much like My Devices on BrandMeister. Takes effect within 1 minute with no hotspot restart. |
| Dynamic TGs | Just key up on the TG you want; it stays connected for 15 minutes after the last call. |
| One national network | Regional servers are linked through the hubs, so a call from any region reaches listeners in every other region. |
| Listen live from the Talkgroup List | Press Listen in the dashboard Talkgroup List and that TG plays straight away in your phone or PC browser, with no login, no app and no radio, showing the callsign on air. |
| Parrot (voice test) | Talk, then hear your own voice played back, to check your microphone and audio. |
| BMKG earthquake alerts | Earthquakes of M 5.0 and above are announced automatically on the app channels. |
| Automatic callsign rules | RAPI channels are for JZ callsigns only, amateur channels for YB–YH only. Traffic from BrandMeister and outside networks still comes in. |
| Vocoder without a dongle | App channel capacity can grow without buying hardware, and the audio stays clear. |
| Talkgroup Mode in the apps | The DMRID Android & Windows apps can pick ±8,900 TGs from the Talkgroup List and Global Amateur TGs with no channel needed. Favourites and static TGs follow your account. |
| TG555 video | While transmitting on TG555, the Android app in Normal Mode (and, since v1.35, Mini Mode on devices with a camera and a large enough screen) and DMRID Windows v2.01 can send camera video for field reports / disaster response, and watch other members’ video. Off by default; since v1.34 there is a video icon on caller-ID. |
| Online Members Map | Positions of members using the app are shown on a map (app & portal) for coordination and safety. |
| Linked member portal | My Hotspot, Radio Monitor, TG Status, Logbook & eQSL, TG 555 Ranking, Messages & Letters – all using the same account as your hotspot and apps. |
The latest app versions and their main features are in the DMRID apps section.
DMRID Apps and Their Versions
Every app uses the same dmrid.online account (callsign, DMR ID, account password) and connects to dmrid_bridge. Get them from the Downloads page (also the Downloads menu in the member portal). Install over the old version: accounts and settings are kept.

| Downloads | Latest versions of all DMRID and K2PI apps. |
Guide 1: Setting Static Talkgroups for Your Hotspot
A static talkgroup is a TG your hotspot always hears without keying up first. You set it from the portal, with no change in Pi-Star.
- Log in at dmrid.online with your member account.
- Open the Hotspot menu in the member dashboard (the Hotspot Saya / My Hotspot page).
- Fill in the hotspot number: leave it empty to apply to every hotspot on your account (7-digit DMR ID), or enter 2 digits (01–99) for a hotspot with a 9-digit DMR ID, for example 510025801.
- Enter the static TGs for TS1 and TS2, separated by commas (up to 10 TGs per slot), then save.
- Wait up to 1 minute. No hotspot restart is needed; the new TGs come in by themselves.
The Order the Server Uses (the First One Found Wins)
- The portal setting (Hotspot Saya). A 9-digit ID setting wins over the account's 7-digit ID.
- The hotspot's Options field, for example
TS1=532;TS2=555,200. - The server default: TS2 = 555 and 200 (Global Amateur hub: TS2 = 510).
Dynamic talkgroups: key up on any allowed TG and your hotspot will also hear it for 15 minutes after the last call. Each slot holds one dynamic TG: a new dynamic TG replaces the old one. Keying up on TG 4000 drops the dynamic TG on that slot. Dynamic TG changes are limited to 5 per 10 minutes; beyond that, new TGs are held for 10 minutes (the dashboard shows “held”) while static TGs keep working.
TGs that do not match your account callsign (RAPI TGs for non-JZ callsigns, amateur TGs for callsigns other than YB–YH) are ignored by the server.
Portal unreachable? The last setting stays in use. On the dashboard, TGs from the portal are marked “My Hotspot, portal” (Indonesian dashboard: “Hotspot Saya, portal”).
Guide 2: Every Talkgroup Is Available Through Your Hotspot
DMRID app channels (Android, Windows, Gateway) go through dmrid_bridge. Each app channel uses one vocoder channel on the server, so the number of app channels is limited and only selected TGs have one.
Hotspots have no such limit. A hotspot talks DMR directly to dmrid_link with no vocoder, so every talkgroup in the dashboard Talkgroup List, according to its network, can be used through Hotspot Saya (My Hotspot). As soon as your hotspot picks a TG, the regional server requests it from the hub automatically; no dedicated bridge is needed.
| Talkgroup List on the | Network |
|---|---|
| Indonesian DMR Network dashboard | The DMRID net (K2PI Nasional, SIDGAB and other organisations), RAPI and local amateur talkgroups |
| Global Amateur dashboard | BrandMeister, TGIF, Worldwide, JOTA, Area-0 to Area-9 |
What You Can Connect
- MMDVM hotspots (Pi-Star, WPSD, MMDVMHost) with your DMR radio.
- Third-party apps that support MMDVM / Homebrew networks, such as DroidStar, VoxDMR or QsoLink, straight from your phone with no radio.
Steps
- Connect your hotspot or app to one of the servers in the Hotspot server list (port 62030) with your dmrid.online callsign and password (see Guide 4).
- Find the TG you want in the dashboard Talkgroup List.
- Add it as a static TG in Hotspot Saya, or just key up on it once to make it a dynamic TG for 15 minutes.
- Check the Hotspots & Servers section of the dashboard: the TG shows on your hotspot's row.
Tip: more than one hotspot? Use 9-digit DMR IDs (ID + 01, 02, …) and set different static TGs for each one in Hotspot Saya, for example one hotspot for K2PI Nasional and SIDGAB and another for amateur TGs.
Callsign rules still apply: RAPI TGs are for JZ callsigns only, amateur TGs for YB–YH only.
Guide 3: Using the Dashboard
The dashboard shows network traffic live, with no login needed. The DASHBOARD menu on dmrid.online opens the Indonesian DMR Network dashboard; the Global Amateur button at the top switches to the amateur dashboard.
| Section | What it shows | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| Summary boxes (top) | On air now, hotspots & apps connected, server links, calls today, total TX today | The numbers update by themselves; no need to reload the page |
| Live · Operators On-Air | Who is talking: callsign, name, TG, talk time | “Forwarded to” shows which TG or network the audio is carried to |
| Last Heard | Recent calls: time, callsign, name, TG, duration | A cut mark means the call ended without a terminator (signal lost) |
| Hotspots & Servers | Connected hotspots, apps and regional servers, with the TGs of each hotspot | Dynamic TGs show their remaining time; static TGs show where they come from: “My Hotspot, portal”, “hotspot Options” or “server default” |
| Talkgroup Bridges | TGs linked between systems, for example to BrandMeister | Teal = active, yellow = time remaining |
| Talkgroup List | Every TG by organisation and region | Search by TG number, name or city; filter by province or organisation. TGs with a Listen button can be heard live |
Key Feature: Listen Live from the Talkgroup List
The dashboard does not only show who is talking; it can also play their audio live. Use it to monitor the network, follow a net or check your own audio from another phone, with no login, no app to install and no radio.
- Open the dashboard and go to the Talkgroup List.
- Find the TG you want (number, name or city), or filter by organisation and province.
- Press the Listen button on that TG's row. A player bar appears at the bottom of the screen.
- The player bar shows the TG number, “Standby · waiting for voice” while the TG is quiet, “ON AIR” + callsign when someone talks, and the number of listeners.
- To switch TG, press Listen on another TG. To stop, press the stop button on the player bar or press the same Listen button again.
- The Listen button is on TGs that have a DMRID app channel (dmrid_bridge); other TGs can be heard through a hotspot (Guide 2).
- If the audio connection drops, the player reconnects by itself.
- On a phone, make sure media volume is not muted, and keep the screen on, since some browsers stop audio when the screen turns off.
- Listen is receive-only; to talk (TX) use the DMRID app, a hotspot or a radio.
Switching dashboards: press the DMR Indonesia or Global Amateur button at the top of the page.
Guide 4: Connecting a Hotspot

- Pick a server from the list above, port 62030.
- In the hotspot's DMR settings, set the password to your dmrid.online account password.
- Make sure the hotspot callsign matches your account callsign exactly. If it differs, login is refused.
- The DMR ID can be 7 digits, or 9 digits (ID + 2 digits) for a second or further hotspot.
- Save, then check the dashboard under Hotspots & Servers: your hotspot appears with its TGs.
Guide 5: Using the DMRID Apps
Android (DMR-ID-DVS v1.35)
- Download and install the APK from the Downloads page. The first time, allow installing from this source.
- Open the app and fill in your User Profile: callsign, account password and DMR ID exactly as in your dmrid.online account. You can store several profiles (e.g. a PC and a YB callsign).
- Allow microphone, notifications and location when asked. On POC phones, turn on “DMRID PTT” in Accessibility so the hardware PTT button works in the background.
- Channel Mode: pick one of the 36 channels and Connect. Talkgroup Mode (when opened by the admins): Talkgroup tab → search a TG → Dengarkan (Listen); tap ☆ for Favourites.
- Press PTT to talk. Test your audio first with the 🦜 Parrot button in the header: press it, talk for 3–5 seconds, release PTT; your voice is played back. Press it again to return.
- Quick switching: the CH / TG button, then swipe left/right on the ON AIR card or the channel card (Normal Mode), turn the physical dial if the device has one (set up under Settings → Dial Channel Fisik), or ▲▼ on a handheld (Mini Mode).
| Screen mode | For | Highlights |
|---|---|---|
| Normal | Phones | Bottom menu Channel · Talkgroup / Daftar CH (follows TG / CH mode) · Online · Profil, Parrot in the header, ON AIR card, TG555 video, map. |
| Mini | POC handhelds | Driven by the handheld keys: ▲▼ or the rotary dial change channel/TG, OK menu, number keys = TG number, battery percentage, video on devices with a camera. |
| Wide | 7"+ tablets & Android TV | Talkgroup list on the left, ON AIR & PTT on the right; works with a TV remote. |
Voice route (Profil, advanced): Automatic (TGs with a channel go through the app channel, other TGs through the talkgroup gateway), Channels only or Talkgroups only. Static TGs can be changed from Profil → Ubah TG statis – the same as My Hotspot in the portal.
Step-by-step guide (changing callsign, switching channel/TG on phones & handhelds, FAQ): DMRID App Guide.
Windows (v2.01) and Gateway (v1.02)
- Windows: run the .exe file, fill in your account in Setting, pick a channel in the Radio menu or a TG in the Talkgroup menu. New versions are announced automatically (Online Update). TG555 video is in Setting › Video Stream, see Guide 6.
- Gateway Android / Linux: use a GW callsign account (DMR ID 7xxxxxx), pick a channel, set the RX trigger (COS / VOX) and PTT to the radio, then check with Test PTT. Gateways reconnect and update themselves automatically. Full installation steps are on the Downloads page.
- After an update, the built-in channel list is replaced automatically only when the channel set changes; User Profile and per-channel callsigns stay the same.
Callsign Rules per Channel / TG
| Channel | Callsigns allowed to transmit |
|---|---|
| RAPI (RAPI NASIONAL, RAPIDA, RAPIWIL, RAPI DKI Jakarta) | JZ |
| Amateur (YBLand Indonesia, Area-0 to Area-9, YB Semarang, Worldwide, JOTA, Freestar) | YB, YC, YD, YE, YF, YG, YH |
| K2PI Nasional, SIDGAB, BPBD | All members |
The same rules apply in Talkgroup Mode and on hotspots. SIDGAB TGs are open to every group. Traffic from BrandMeister and outside networks still comes in.
Guide 6: TG555 Video, Video Icon and Location Sharing
TG555 Video (Android App, Normal and Mini Mode)
- Video works only on TG555 with app v1.33 or later in Normal Mode. It is open to all members, with the front camera.
- In the app: press the 🎥 icon in the front-screen header (Normal Mode) or OK → Streaming video (Mini Mode, only on devices with a camera and enough screen) to turn on Streaming video. It is off by default: without this switch the camera is never sent and partner video is not shown.
- Hold PTT on TG555: video is sent automatically and stops when you release PTT or the time limit is reached. You always see your own camera; a button on the preview switches between front and back camera.
- Video is not stored on the phone or the server. Use Wi-Fi when you can, since video uses mobile data.
TG555 Video in DMRID Windows (v2.01)
- Open Setting › Video Stream: tick Video Stream aktif, then pick your camera (press Deteksi kamera if the list is empty). The Automatic encoder already suits every viewer.
- Hold PTT on the K2PI Nasional (TG555) channel: your camera is sent automatically and its preview appears in the right column of the Radio screen.
- When another member transmits with video, the right column shows 📹 callsign · memuat video… (loading video), then the video fills the column, covering the ON AIR card and Online on this Channel. When the video ends the screen returns to normal. Double-click the video to hide it.
- The 📹 camera button on the Radio screen (next to MUTE) turns Video Stream on or off. Off = no video is sent or received.
- Video from the same DMR ID as your account is not shown. If you use several devices at once, give each device its own DMR ID.
Video Icon on Caller-ID (v1.34)
| Mode | Shown when the speaker sends video |
|---|---|
| Normal | ● 🎥 VIDEO LIVE (switch ON, tap = reopen the video) or 🎥 VIDEO · ketuk (switch OFF). While you transmit with video yourself: VIDEO TERKIRIM (video sent). |
| Wide | A 🎥 icon on the ON AIR / TX line. |
| Mini | ON AIR · 🎥 VIDEO (new screen) or 🎥 after the callsign (classic screen). Since v1.35 Mini Mode on devices with a camera and a large enough screen can also receive and send video. |
Location Sharing & Online Members Map
- Since v1.33 location sharing is always on in every mode, for team coordination and so members can be found when they need help.
- Allow location when asked; choose Allow all the time in phone Settings to keep sending while the screen is off. To turn it off, remove the app's Location permission.
- Open the map from the app (Profil → Peta & Lokasi) or the portal's Map menu. Locations older than 15 minutes are not shown; the guest account PC00CA does not send a location.
Questions and Answers
My hotspot can't log in. Check the password (it must be your dmrid.online account password) and the hotspot callsign (it must match the account). After 10 failed attempts within 10 minutes the hotspot's internet address is refused for 10 minutes; wait a little after fixing the settings.
Can a TG with no app channel (not connected to dmrid_bridge) be a static TG on my hotspot? Yes. Hotspots connect to dmrid_link directly with no bridge, and the regional server requests the TG from the hub as soon as your hotspot subscribes to it. Conditions: the TG is allowed on the server your hotspot uses (see the Hotspot server list), it matches your account callsign (RAPI for JZ only, amateur for YB–YH only), and there are at most 10 TGs per slot. BrandMeister TGs: traffic from BrandMeister only comes in for TGs already linked on the server, the ones shown in the Talkgroup Bridges card on the Global Amateur dashboard. Other BM TG numbers still work between hotspots on our network.
The TG I want has no channel in the app. Use a hotspot or a third-party app (MMDVM / DroidStar) and pick that TG in Hotspot Saya. See Guide 2.
The static TG I set in the portal hasn't arrived. Wait 1 minute. Make sure you set the right hotspot DMR ID; a 9-digit ID setting wins over the 7-digit ID.
I can't hear a particular TG. Add it as a static TG in Hotspot Saya, or key up on it once so it becomes a dynamic TG for 15 minutes.
Which app version should I use? Android v1.35, Windows v2.01, Gateway Android / Linux v1.02. Older versions still connect, but new features (Talkgroup Mode, video, video icon, swipe to switch channel) are only in the latest versions.
The Talkgroup tab does not appear in the app. Talkgroup Mode is opened step by step by the admins. Make sure the profile uses a dmrid.online account (not PC00CA), then Profil → Sinkron sekarang (Sync now). Channels keep working.
I changed my password in the portal and my hotspot and app cannot log in. If you changed the Account Password, also update it on your hotspot and in the app's User Profile. The Web Login Password is for the website only and does not affect hotspots / apps.
What does the 🎥 VIDEO icon on caller-ID mean? The speaker who is ON AIR is also sending video on TG555. To watch it, turn on Profil → Video (TG555) → Streaming video in the app in Normal Mode, or Video Stream in DMRID Windows v2.01. See Guide 6.
How do I turn location sharing off? Remove the DMRID app's Location permission in phone Settings. Your position disappears from the map after 15 minutes.
The app refuses a RAPI or amateur channel. RAPI channels are for JZ callsigns only, amateur channels for YB–YH only. Choose the matching account in User Profile.
Questions and fault reports can be sent to your regional admin.
